We have not forgotten those who died or were injured in road accidents… That’s why on the occasion of International Day of Road Accident Victims, the practical awareness of saving precious human lives was remembered and prayed for.
The memorial was organized by Rescue 1122 Jhelum at Central Station Jhelum presided over by Assistant Commissioner (Coordination) and Secretary RTA Jhelum Hafiz Zanir Younis.
District Emergency Officer Engineer Saeed Ahmed, President Hamza Baig Welfare Society Tauseef Baig, President Youth Assembly Abdul Ghafoor Chauhan, representative Traffic Police Jhelum, rescuers and rescue scouts participated in the seminar.
Assistant Commissioner (Coordination) Jhelum Hafiz Zanir Yunus told about the factors involved in road accidents, road safety and the importance of vehicle fitness while driving, practical measures and future action plan, that taking practical steps under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Muhammad Maisam Abbas. have been started.
On this occasion, District Emergency Officer Engineer Saeed Ahmed gave a briefing about the importance of road safety and the accidents that occur in Jhelum, especially the accidents on G Road. Also highlighted the importance of driving with caution in foggy weather and the use of backlight especially in tractor trolleys.
President Hamza Baig Welfare Society Tauseeb Baig said that we do not want anyone else to see the mistake or suffering we are seeing.
Later prayers were offered for the forgiveness of those involved in traffic accidents and for the recovery of the injured. .
After this awareness session, under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner (Coordination) Jhelum Hafiz Zanir Yunus, reflective stickers were also installed behind the tractor trolley and awareness was also given. Hafiz Zanir Yunus said that we will take practical steps legally in Jhelum district to install lights or reflectors behind slow moving objects because such accidents are fatal.
District Emergency Officer said that 6 such fatal accidents have been reported during one month. He also expressed his gratitude to Hamza Baig Welfare Society for always supporting Rescue 1122 in its efforts to save precious human lives.
