On the occasion of National Disaster Day, a walk was held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Syeda Ramla Ali Sahiba from the Deputy Commissioner’s office to remember those who died in the earthquake that occurred on 8th October 2005. It was such a tragedy in the history of Pakistan, the memory of which has an indelible imprint. During the walk, the commitment was reiterated that God willing, in any emergency situation, including the public, all the relevant institutions will stand shoulder to shoulder in the protection of precious lives and property in any kind of tragedy.
On this occasion, heads and officials of all the emergency situation organizations, social personalities, members of District Emergency Board and District Disaster Management Authority and public participated.
