Lehri Nature Park, a beautiful natural reserve and a natural asset of Jhelum located on GT Road, has begun to be transformed into a beautiful family destination under the personal efforts and leadership of Punjab Health Advisor Major General Dr. Azhar Mahmood Kiani and the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Muhammad Maisam Abbas.
A mega event was organized in the same Lehri Nechas Park under the leadership of Divisional Forest Officer Jhelum Sudhir Mughal. Prominent nature and tree lovers from the Pothwar region participated in the event. Prominent local people from Lehri, elders of Ghakkar Welfare Foundation, members of the Al-Sarwar family, Hamza Baig Welfare Society, media representatives, forest officers and officials and other prominent social figures participated.
The locals pledged that Lehri is the pride of our area and we are committed to its improvement. A part of the nature park was made usable for the convenience of tourists after cleaning.
On this occasion, a large number of fruit trees were planted, distributed and donated for planting in the National Park. Divisional Forest Officer Sudhir Ahmed Mughal said that the Forest Division will not only discharge its responsibilities in the restoration of this asset in a good manner but will also spread practical awareness among the public.
