Our History
I lost my only son, Mirza Hamza Ahemd Baig, in a car accident on 20th march 2017. This incident not only wobbled my family but also disheartened the whole city of Jhelum. He was a talented, charming and deferential young man whose death left distress in every kind heart. The departure of Hamza Baig to heaven has exposed the reality of the world to me. It was close to me that I had to surrender to depression but family and friends from around the world who read my writings that I wrote in memory of Hamza Baig.
My heartache became a mourn of many friends and mostly asked me to do something else that will be a positive turn to my thinking and my son’s name can be stored on a welfare society which would be a charity for all Umat-E-Muhammadia (PBUH). But at that moment, I could not dare myself and my mind was a tragedy of my son’s memories.
After a few days, one of my beloved probed me that there is fewer awareness about road safety among the people in Pakistan, you are undergoing the problem and you could better realized, so why do not we bring together in a coherent framework in which people, children, parents, media and governmental institutions would also be involved. It would be helpful for social welfare and well-being work and a charity for needy children. If a child or a family becomes stable with our efforts then it would be a great pleasure for us and a voluntary charity for Hamza Baig and Ummat-e-Muslima(PBUM).
I agreed on it and tried to register this welfare society. I felt that difficult step, mean registration for welfare society, became easier by itself. After the formation of Hamza Baig welfare society, Allhamdulillah, it seems that my son is around me and as per the beginning of the work, insha Allah, we will keep many persons, like Hamza, and their relations happy.
In short, our mission is to give awareness among people that little caution save many persons and nobody can again damage any Hamza who has many associated hopes and he would cover the blanket of soil and evanishes from their eyes or lying helplessly on bed. Rather he supports his parents; these helpless bones have to support him and they always sob. Insha Allah Hamza Welfare Society not only determines to help on national level but also trying to include a chapter about road safety in the syllabus of 10th class.
As Allah says in sura Bakara, verse 177
‘‘Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveller, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfil their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.’’
If the journey starts with a good purpose, a lot of assistance will be originated on the way.
