Hamza Baig Welfare Society Provides Clean Water to Needy Families in Rajanpur

Water for Life South Punjab – No. 3

Rajanpur: This elderly couple has no support in life except Allah Almighty. They had neither a reliable water supply nor a proper washroom. For them, access to clean water became the most valuable facility in their home, bringing much-needed comfort and dignity to their daily lives.

Through the Water for Life initiative, a water supply was established at their home. The couple can now access water more easily, while residents of the surrounding area are also benefiting from this ongoing act of charity and continue to look after the elderly couple.

The project is located in Jampur Tehsil, District Rajanpur, where many areas of Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan face serious problems with saline and contaminated groundwater. The Hamza Baig Welfare Society is working to provide deeper sources of clean and sweet water to some of the most deserving communities in these underserved areas.

The need extends beyond individual homes. Some mosques in these remote communities do not have adequate water, electricity or even basic facilities for performing ablution.

The society hopes to do whatever is possible to ease the hardships faced by these vulnerable communities. According to the estimated project costs, approximately Rs. 300,000 is required for mosque water boring, a solar system and ablution facilities; around Rs. 150,000 for a community water tap; and approximately Rs. 100,000 for a household water connection.

The Hamza Baig Welfare Society has appealed for continued support and resources so that more people can benefit from these Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) projects.

May Allah Almighty grant steadfastness, provide the necessary resources, and accept these efforts for the benefit of the entire Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Ameen, Ya Rabb-ul-Alameen.🤲
