Water for Life Project No. 7 Brings Safer Water to 600 Residents in Dera Ghazi Khan
Kot Chhutta, District Dera Ghazi Khan: Around 600 people in this community had been relying on extremely poor-quality water with a TDS level of approximately 2,100, creating serious concerns for the health and well-being of local residents.
In memory of her late father, a daughter supported the installation of a community water tap through the Hamza Baig Welfare Society, providing the village with a much-needed source of improved-quality water.
Today, residents and livestock in the area can access water with a TDS level of approximately 556, offering a significant improvement over the previous source.
This initiative is Water for Life Project No. 7, completed in Kot Chhutta Tehsil, District Dera Ghazi Khan.
The project also includes an environmentally responsible drainage arrangement, with wastewater directed toward nearby agricultural fields. A separate water trough has also been constructed for livestock, ensuring that animals have their own dedicated drinking facility.
The total cost of establishing this Sadaqah Jariyah project was approximately Rs. 180,000.
The Hamza Baig Welfare Society expressed hope for continued resources and support so that similar projects can reach more of the most deserving communities and help reduce their exposure to potentially harmful water-related health risks.
May Allah Almighty accept these efforts, bless the daughter who dedicated this project to her late father, reward all supporters, and grant its benefits to the entire Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Ameen, Ya Rabb-ul-Alameen. 🤲💧
