Relief & Social Support
Standing With Communities in Every Season — Through Crisis and Celebration Alike
Disasters do not give warnings. Neither does poverty. But at Hamza Baig Welfare Society, our response is always ready. Whether it is the immediate aftermath of a devastating flood, the quiet suffering of a family that cannot celebrate Eid, or a disabled person who needs a home — HBWS is there. Our Relief & Social Support programs work across two fronts: emergency humanitarian response when crisis strikes, and seasonal social protection to ensure no family is forgotten during the moments that matter most.
Seasonal & Social Protection
Seasonal & Social Protection — No One Celebrates Alone
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commanded Muslims to help those in need. And yet, every year, millions of Pakistani families watch Eid pass without new clothes, without a proper meal, without any of the joy that the occasion is meant to bring. Ramadan — the month of giving — passes without enough food on the table. Winter arrives without warm clothes.Hamza Baig Welfare Society’s Seasonal & Social Protection program exists for exactly these moments. It reaches out to underprivileged families not just in times of disaster, but throughout the year — on the occasions when being forgotten hurts the most.

Humanitarian Programs
Humanitarian Programs — When Disaster Strikes, We Are Already Moving
Disasters hit the poorest communities hardest. When floods swept through RajanPur, Tunsa, and DG Khan in 2022, HBWS was among the very first organizations on the ground. When COVID-19 shut down Pakistan, HBWS was distributing masks and sanitizers in government schools and public spaces. When a family with a disabled member was left homeless and in debt, HBWS gave them a house, a livelihood, and a fresh start.HBWS’s humanitarian approach is built on two pillars: immediate emergency relief that saves lives in the first 72 hours, and resilient recovery that helps communities rebuild so they are stronger before the next crisis hits.
What We Do:
- Provide emergency food packages, clean water, tents, and clothing to flood-affected families
- Transport disaster victims, distribute medicine, and organize medical support in affected areas
- Fund road repairs in remote flood-hit areas where transportation had become impossible
- Construct temporary rooms and shelters for families left homeless by floods
- Provide home, employment support, and debt relief to disabled families with no other recourse
- Respond to earthquakes, floods, and pandemic situations with immediate deployment
- Coordinate with Rescue 1122, District Administration, and other humanitarian organizations for maximum reach
