World Urban Defense Day was practically celebrated today at Government Degree College for Girls, Dingipally. In which, in various emergency situations, the students proved their skills by doing practical exercises to save precious lives and property despite bad weather. In the seminar organized on the indispensable importance of the wide field of urban defense in the society, beautiful and heartwarming views were also expressed by the speakers. Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner Jhelum and Controller Civil Defense Captain R. Samiullah Farooq inspected all the related issues closely. On this occasion, under the supervision of Civil Defense Officer Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa and under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Warden of Civil Defense Organization Jhelum Toafs Baig, civil defense officials and volunteers also participated in practice in large numbers.
Also, Chief Warden Civil Defense Islamabad, Chief Warden Civil Defense Chakwal, Chief Warden Civil Defense Sargodha also participated in today’s all-round function. Media representatives also participated in the event. The dream of civil defense is to increase the awareness and training of safe Jhelum and safe life and property in emergency situations so that safety is possible as much as possible.
