Some people, even after burning in the fire of their wounds, become a cool shadow for others.
Some hearts are so bright that they turn their pain into the light of goodness.
Mirza Tauseef Baig…
He is the lamp of our Jhelum who, even after losing a piece of his liver, awakened the light of hope in every heart of the city.
Those whom society calls angels, are not always winged.
Some angels live among us in human form…
And one such angel of Jhelum is — Mirza Tauseef Baig.

Jhelum’s identity – General, writer, artist… But the real identity is Tauseef Baig
Jhelum is famous for many things.
Army officer, general, writer, poet, artist…
But today the brightest, most credible and most charming identity of this city is Mirza Tauseef Baig.
He showed service to the people as an act of worship.
And made human suffering his mission.
A father’s broken world — which became a continuous charity
March 20, 2017… The saddest day in the history of Jhelum.
The day when Mirza Tauseef Baig’s only son, the young, beautiful and talented Hamza Tauseef Baig, was martyred in a road accident.
Every pain, every trial and every sorrow in the world becomes small
When a father sees his son’s dead body
The shock that has no language, no writing, no example.
Every room in the house fell silent.
The walls kept calling out to Hamza’s voice.
And a father was breaking down in tears.
But some servants of Allah do not break and scatter —
They become more united after breaking.
Mirza Tauseef Beg, weeping in prostration, made a vow:
> “If my Hamza is gone … So that no other Hamza should be an orphan.
No other mother should suffer the same grief as me.
No other father should see the same pain as me.”
Thus, the sorrow of a father became the hope of an entire generation.

In 2018, he established an institution in the name of his son, which today is not only the pride of Jhelum, but of the whole world:

This institution is not just an institution —
A father’s prayer, a martyred son’s ongoing charity,
and the hope of a city.
Today, this society is considered one of the largest welfare works in Pakistan.
From individual to collective, from small to large —
Wherever there is any pain, any trouble, any accident…
Hamza Baig Welfare Society is the first to arrive.

A unique service in Pakistan, which works shoulder to shoulder with 1122 in dead body transfer and emergency rescue.

The intention of passion had kept me so engrossed
The heartbeat was fast, I had kept the sanctuary in my eyes
I kept asking the way to Hamza’s palace
I had just taken my first step in paradise

؎ He still had that pen in his shirt pocket
؎ He turned and looked at me… He called out softly, Baba
؎ Someone’s eyes were keeping my shoulder moist

For Tauseef Baig and all the lamps of goodness like him,
Increase courage, health, honor and light.
Elevate the ranks of the late Hamza,
And grant eternal companionship to father and son in Paradise.
